Description Peter Schimke (born in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American piano player, songwriter, composer, session musician and producer. Pat Epstein, Minneapolis Member Since November 2017 Artist Statement From an early age, Pat was always a quiet observer, he absorbed more through his eyes than words. It was natural that photography became his medium of expression. His passion ignited after a clandestine viewing of Ridley Scott’s "Blade Runner" as a young adult. Three screenings later, he emerged with a burning desire to manipulate images and delve into visual artistry.
Pat has a knack for finding beauty in the most unpleasing places. Anything remotely intriguing demands to be captured. As a classified street photographer, perspectives, angles, and the interplay of light and shadow are essential elements that breathe life into his compositions.
The character of structures and places. His photographic interests are eclectic, spanning from intimate portraits to capturing the essence of other artists doing what they do. Pat possesses a unique ability to transform anything into a captivating final image.
