Description The 6th in a series of artwork inspired by the storyline from the concept album Still Life by Swedish progressive death metal band Opeth. View collection at http://www.face-of-melinda.com/'Serenity Painted Death' begins when the outcast finds Melinda has been taken and hung for her being 'unfaithful' to the church, which she was supposed to be 'married' to. Consumed by pent up pain and rage, he brutally kills the soldiers who had killed Melinda, in a momentous and final act of aggression. In a frenzy of rage he assaults and kills every soldier he can before he succumbs and collapses in total exhaustion. When he regains control over his mind, the Council of the Cross is there to take him.
Jon Tarr, Christchurch Member Since May 2009 Artist Statement Jon is currently the head designer at Activate Design Ltd in Christchurch, New Zealand. At Activate, Jon works predominately for small and medium size businesses producing a wide range of graphic design, print and website services. He also works for BigBeard Games producing graphics for iPhone and iPod applications. In his spare time Jon keeps busy with personal creative projects such as canvas and digital artworks and loves to escape into New Zealand’s unique wilderness searching for the perfect photograph.
