Artist Statement Katherine J. LeCocq’s work ranges from the whimsical and playful to staid and evocative representations of the natural world. Painting and drawing since she was a child, her work is rendered in media that include acrylic, chalk pastel, charcoal, and watercolor and ranges in size from artist trading cards to full murals. Some of LeCocq’s mural work can be viewed at the Pennsauken Free Public Library or online at lecocqdesign.com. LeCocq is originally from Seattle, and now based in southern New Jersey after graduating from Rutgers University’s distinguished Mason Gross School of Fine Arts.
