Artist Statement First held in 1882, Little Rock’s annual regatta was a premier rowing event for clubs all across the south, due to the world-class waters of the Arkansas River and the social atmosphere that surrounded it. This year, The Arkansas Boathouse Club has brought back that tradition with the Inaugural Six Bridges Regatta, an event celebrating the sport and the athletes who love it.

The inaugural poster was designed by world-class illustrator Mick Wiggins, a recent Arkansas transplant. He's received numerous awards, appeared in several juried art annuals, and has enjoyed a long and varied list of clients. Wiggins recently completed a series of covers for the entire John Steinbeck catalog from Penguin Classics, and his own children's book "Planes Fly," to be published in the fall of 2013.
