Artist Statement I am both an academic and a photographer (not necessarily in that order!).


As a Sociologist, photography helps me to tell stories and to record what the written word too often misses. I try to narrate a scene with my photos, and am working to improve my skills.


As a photographer, I love to capture people at their best and their worst, their strongest and most vulnerable. I love to do portrait work.
