Description taken on a Brisbane Beach, these 2 Australian Seagulls, know as Silver Gulls (Chroicocephalus novaehollandiae), were having a power display and stand off over a very smelly fish carcase!! it was a very funny encounter and the shot reminds me of a bullying sergeant barking out orders to 'Do the Silly Dance' :0) It ended up with the 'dancing gull' flying off to find his own rotten fish. The Silver Gull is a common Seabird throughout Australia, distinguished from the 2 other Australian gulls by the bright red legs and beaks
