Artist Statement I like to challenge the perceptions we have of beauty.
There are things that are not considered of aesthetic value and usually ignored.
I am fascinated by the minute detail of such rusty, neglected or weathered items, as when seen up close and out of context, they can reveal such beautiful, evocative imagery.
I also enjoy the challenge of seeing everyday things in a more interesting and unconventional way.

Many images were taken using my mobile phone, I always have it on me when I come across something interesting!
I am however, interested in traditional photography methods and use film, which I print myself, as well as a digital SLR.
I use very little manipulation with either and aspire to achieve the desired effect at source.
