Description A practice at still-life, as well as mental imaging, as I don't actually have any of these things. The crystal ball was actually inspired by a quartz sphere I have on a wand I bought from a local Wiccan candle shop. The copper wire intrigued me, wrapped around the quartz, and so I tried imitating it. Most of the lighting was improvised in the picture; trying to practice it more. However, this is one of my few works that I actually greatly like, despite its remaining flaws. Artist Statement I am an amateur, self-taught digital artist who specializes in fantasy drawings. I have been drawing all my life, though I've only gotten serious about it in the past five years.




Where do you get the ideas for your drawings?

I get my ideas from different sources; I often find inspiration in music, books, friends, dreams, and the world around me in general. And sometimes, from places not in this world, when I let my mind roam unhindered by the constraints of the mainstream and/or logical (because we know the mainstream isn't always logical as well).




What specifically do you use when you do art?

I use a 6x8 Wacom Intuos3 and Photoshop Elements 5.0. I first started with a Wacom Graphire2, but eventually grew out of the little ruby 4x5. It still works and is now in the paws of my mate, so it's a hardy little thing to have lasted the past five years with me. I also do traditional art from time to time, usually with coloured pencils, or once in a while, acrylic paints.
I also need to have music of some sort going to create an artistic flow, and chocolate. Because chocolate is good for everything. =3
