Description Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays, and while its always easy to find Halloween and Christmas decorations, finding something that you really like for Thanksgiving can be tough. So I decided to paint the First Thanksgiving, but I wanted to give it my own spin and have fun with it. I thought, how fun would it be if the Puritans were cats, and the Native Americans were mice?
Asha Hawkesworth, Gresham Member Since August 2016 Artist Statement I love to paint and write. I am the author of several children's books, including "Grandma's Roses" and "Don't Bother Boris!" My art is inspired by the natural world, the realm of spirit, and my own children, who have collaborated with me on occasion. I currently reside in Oregon with my family and quite a few cats. In addition to painting, I love to work in my garden, bake, and enjoy the comforts of home.
