Description This piece started on a note that I was writing to my boss after moving from Oklahoma to Minnesota during my senior year of high school. I was asking for time off from the Sinclair station where I worked, so that I could visit my friends in Oklahoma. When I made a spelling error in the note, it became repurposed into art, but I wanted one element of the origin to remain. The piece itself brings to life a design that I was fascinated with as I developed this style of art. I frequently drew a similar design onto my hand, thinking to myself that someday I would simply get it tattooed on. Later I learned how painful tattoos are, and how impossible it would be to capture the level of detail I include in my work, so the idea is forever to remain only in this piece. It contains two hidden messages:1. Along the index finger is my first play at humor within my art, through the words 'Pull my finger'2. Across the back of the hand, 'Take my hand'
