Description Fairbanks, Alaska an abstract piece developed in 2014. The hexagonal shapes of the spires resemble ice crystals, with the lights meant to mirror the northern lights. The quartz-like shapes will also give a nod back to the Gold Rush, while the sleek design is meant to offer a hint of the future. By British Columbia artists Cheryl Hamilton and Michael Vandermeer
