Artist Statement I began painting with oil almost 35 years ago as a hobby. I had always loved art, took art classes in school, and always wanted to be an artist. It wasn't until a few years later that I really got serious about my art, and painting. I worked hard studying Ruisdael, Hobbema, Wyeth, and John Constable. I improved quickly and was now doing my art full time.
Then 10 years ago after getting married and starting a family I decided to stop painting for what I thought would be for ever. However a couple of years ago God kept putting it on my heart to start painting again. Of course I didn't listen, I was too busy to have a career in art!
God of course had other plans, and so I started painting again. Now I'm painting full time, and loving it more then ever. God has blessed my family and I beyond our dreams.
Art for me is a way of honoring God. I love creating paintings and Landscapes with quite everyday scenes, of people living simple lives. I love doing landscapes, that is where my heart truly is. John Constable has always been one of my biggest influences.
I don't try to make grand statements with my art, there are no hidden meanings or messages to find. Only deep emotions and love. For my family, for what I am doing, and God for making it all possible
I hope you enjoy looking at my work, thank you for your time.
God Bless
