Description 'The Yellow and Red Balloon' is a wall art print I created using a subtle watercolor technique of a yellow and red hot air balloon. The technique focuses on the bright colors of hot air balloons and uses bold lines to draw the subject matter. Hot air balloons stand out prominent with their colors against the sky. The bold reds, blues, oranges, greens and yellows take center stage. The shapes are drawn in a soft and whimsical manner, setting the visual for a hot air balloon experience. The setting is a group of hot air balloons getting ready for their sunset ascent. The location is in San Diego County near the coast of the Pacific Ocean. San Diego is famous for its sunset rides. As the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean, the onshore flow of winds decrease allowing the balloons to drift inland and descend for a landing before it gets dark. The trip starts close to the coast and takes you inland about 15 miles. The view is incredible as you ascend over Rancho Santa Fe and quietly drift eastward. For those of us that have lived in that area for years, we are use to seeing up to 15 balloons dot the sky just before sunset. When considering an art print, the interior design of the room comes into play and the look you are going for with any given print comes into the decision process. This particular style of art print works well with a modern or contemporary interior design. The abstract shapes and bright colors become a simple, but bright focal point for any wall.Follow my work:Blog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/b/113998712261783920634/+Thewallgallery/postsTwitter: https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2014 Kirt Tisdale / TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Everett, Washington Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
