Don Tremain, deceased
Member Since October 2006
Artist Statement Don was a commercial photographer/artist who worked and lived in Texas from 1985-2012. His background was in photojournalism and fine art. When he was not shooting for his stock agency or clients he was making images "that please me".

Over Don's professional career his published work ran the gamut from a world record pole vault for Sports Illustrated to a poster portrait image of Marcel Marceau to annual report shots on oil platforms in the Gulf. "Stylistically, I'm all over the map," he said. "Sometimes that's a curse-sometimes a blessing."

Testament to his eclectic visual directions is this gallery "Sea Spaces". "I grew up land locked in Nebraska and I find large cruise ships fascinating and a worthy subject for visual exploration. It's been a small, fun visual niche to pursue every year or so."

Don died on May 20, 2012.
