Artist Statement Segun Olorunfemi is a classically trained artist from Ibadan, Nigeria. Listed in “Who’s Who of Nigerian Art” published by Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC. He has Over 22 years’ experience in various arts media such as Yarn Painting, Sand Painting, Linoleum Block Print on Fabric, Batik on Fabric and Batik on rice-paper, Oil Painting and Graphics. He also has 17 years’ experience working with people with disabilities through the arts. He served as Affiliate Director of Very Special Arts organization in Nigeria representing and advocating for people with disabilities. As a Roster Artist – (Art In Education) New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, he teaches workshops on African arts and culture in various schools. He has Masters of Art in teaching (MAT) from Plymouth State University, Plymouth, NH and B.Sc. degree in Human Services from Springfield College, Massachusetts.
