Artist Statement Michael Angel is an Internationally collected artist and a native born Atlantan.

He grew up surrounded by visual arts and music.

His Mother was a professionally touring Opera Singer

who went on to form The Capitol City Opera Company.

His Father was a performing bass singer and a prominent Atlanta Attorney.

Michael studied art at every stage of schooling.

He studied everything from Art History to advanced painting and drawing techniques.

Michael became locally recognized for his amazing Stain Painting technique.

Michael has held several positions such as art restoration, framing, and antiquing.

Michael graduated High School from The Galloway School.

He is a Kennesaw State University graduate with a B.S. in English Literature,

and a triple Minor in Art, Music, and Psychology.

He received the President’s Honor, the Dean’s Honor,

and was asked to join the school’s Fraternity for Academic Excellence.

Michael has been able to give back to KSU by donating original paintings to their fundraising efforts.

Michael Angel’s art is currently showcased in Atlanta at

The B. Jackson Gallery, located at the Galleria Specialty Mall,

The Fine Art Gallery on Market, Charleston South Carolina and has also

been featured at The Patricia Reeves Gallery in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

His art is sold Internationally through his online gallery at

Michael’s work has been featured in advertisements for the

prestigious 34/84 Festival in Cartersville, GA. and in North Georgia Living Magazine.

His works range from stunning color contrast abstracts to heavily textured mixed media pieces;

from Christian themes of crosses, profiles of The Christ, and other Biblical themes, to

Asian symbols and abstractions of ancient worlds.

In addition to visual arts, Michael has been involved in the music industry most of his life.

Michael began piano lessons at age 6, drum lessons at age 8,

and began singing in boy choirs at a very early age.

Michael toured with The Atlanta Boy Choir under

Maestro Fletcher Wolfe from age 10,

performing for The Pope at the Vatican, Sophia Loren for her birthday, President Reagan,

The House & Senate at our nation's Capitol,

and with the Atlanta Symphony conducted by Robert Shaw.

Michael was the President of Deep Blue Records/Out Of Reach Music, BMI from 1994-2001.

Deep Blue Records/Out Of Reach Music, BMI had three singles reach the

American Top-40 Radio Charts, with groups Vital Image and The Guider Project.

With great honor, Mr. Angel worked with Maestro Fletcher Wolfe to

archive and restore recordings of the entire career of Farrold Stevens in order to establish a

Foundation for this amazing singer and teacher.

Michael’s most recent effort was in producing, recording, engineering, and mastering artist

Steve Cardone, in a Frank Sinatra format album which reached the

Top10 Adult Contemporary Radio Market and was heard

all over the country on MovieTunes in Movie Theatres.

Michael’s current music endeavors include solo projects, movie soundtrack work,

and his work with a duo comprised of Michael Angel and Sharon Lynn Angel, his lovely wife.

Michael is currently a CD Mastering Engineer at his facility,

Angel Lofte Studio, Atlanta.
