Artist Statement Craig Barton became a serious and professional fine art photographer in 1973 learning the basics from his uncle, Harland Nasvik, who had been head still photographer for General Mills for over 25 years. Barton has recieved grants for abstract architectural and for scenic/landscape work. He has exhibited in juried shows as well as group and one man shows in the Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN area, St. Louis, MO, and Bloomington, IN. His work has appeared on the cover and in the interior of "Picture" and Passages" magazines. In 1997, Craig and his wife, Kathy formed Barton Images to publish and market Craig's photographic work. He is currently represented by Gallery north on the Squarein Bloomington and through the web site http://www.BartonImages.com as well as through Imagekind.
