Artist Statement Padraic Driscoll recently completed his BA from the University of Pittsburgh in Studio Arts and History of Art and Architecture, graduating Magna cum laude. With related study in Philosophy combined with work experience in commercial graphic, web and video production, he brings a diverse theoretical and technical knowledge background to his work which focuses inwardly upon notions of human existence and endeavor, ambiguity and feelings of ambivalence.

His works transcend many mediums including drawing, installation, video, and various digital media. He has, while still studying as a dean’s list undergraduate, exhibited in several local venues and has received a university grant to further his exploration of large scale digital printing. Most recently at the University of Pittsburgh Student Exhibition, he recieved the Studio Arts Department Achievement Award, the A.J. Schneider Studio Arts Award, and the Betty Blockstein Levine Memorial Award
