Description A photograph of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial located at the Interstate 68 rest stop in Hancock, Maryland. The plaque in the picture reads: 'Interstate Route 68 is dedicated in recognition and memory of those Marylanders who served in the Vietnam War 1959-1975.' The memorial was dedicated on August 2, 1991. In the later half of my teen years, I used to travel past the memorial with friends on our way to the mountains in Western Maryland for a few days between Christmas and New Year's Eve. We always stopped to take photos at Sideling Hill where this memorial is located on both our way out and back. Good memories of good times.
