Artist Statement I purchased my first SLR camera with a redundancy payment in 1997 and haven’t looked back since. I now use a Nikon DSLR and love the freedom digital photography gives everyone. It allows you to be creative without the needing a darkroom and gives quality control of printing back to the photographer. Photography demands you relax, you just slow everything down, control your breathing and forget the world. You just concentrate on your surroundings and the image you want to capture.
