Artist Statement Terry was born in Fort Defiance Arizona and raised on the Navajo Reservation up to kindergarten. Terry then attended grade school in Phoenix Arizona. He attended high school at Many Farms Arizona which is on the Navajo Reservation.
After 3 ½ years going to Collage for Business Administration Terry worked at the reservation school district and Ameri-Corp as a Teachers Assistant and a substitute.
Although Terry had a desire to work with his people he had to battle his own struggles and after what Terry refers to as “ten years of chaos” he was able to accept the help of others and overcome the obstacles deferring path.
Terry feels that he has found his calling and his struggles in life motivate his art. Terry now attends the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Often volunteering at community art programs that aids the homeless. Terry serves as an example by practicing a healthy life style.
