Description I take pride in all the trails my boots have walked on, all the horses and mules rode on, creeks and rivers crossed, and foot prints it has made on the tops of mountains where few human tracks have been made before. I try to show this pride in the detail of the scratched leather and old barn wood floor. My horses shoe and my boots have one thing in common, they were well worn.
Clayton Creel, Wyoming Member Since March 2013 Artist Statement I live in the mountains around Yellowstone National Park and most of my art is inspired by the wildlife, lifestyle, and landscape of the rocky mountains. I have always tried to make my art look as realistic as possible. The last few years my art teachers have been trying to get me to paint abstract scenes. At first it was hard to give up the way I see things, then I realized I could use real form and texture but use bright, unrealistic colors that catch the eye. I plan to continue this study of color for the rest of the year (mostly). I want to thank everyone who takes interest in my work and I hope you will want it hanging from your wall!
