Artist Statement I live in a beautiful corner of the Pacific Northwest--Bellingham, Washington. I originally moved here to attend Graduate School and lost my heart to the incredible beauty of this place. It is a unique area in that everything is so close together. I live a five minute drive to Bellingham Bay, and the magical San Juan Islands are a closer drive to the ferry than driving to Seattle. In an hour I can leave from my back door and be at my favorite camping spot at Mt. Baker. In between are several lakes, rivers, streams, and lush forested parks.

I grew up in Las Vegas where I immigrated with my family from Trieste, Italy. A camping and hiking vacation to Canada introduced me to the beauty of Washington state and I knew I could never be happy living in the awful city my beloved desert home became over the years, so I moved here permanently. The love affair continues and on the rare occasions that I return to Las Vegas to visit family and see how much it has grown and how ugly it has become, I feel absolutely no regrets for leaving.

I only started taking photographs seriously when I got a digital camera for a trip to Australia three years ago. It quickly became an obsession and each photograph is a next step toward learning this difficult art.

I make my living as a commercial graphic artist by selling my designs on various Print on Demand sites such as Cafepress, Printfection and others. My website lists all the different places you can buy my art and other creations. As someone who has worked in jobs I hated for most of my life, the ability to live from my art is a dream come true that I hope to never wake up from.

I hope to expand to more artistic photographic art in the next few months that combines my photography with graphic manipulations, so stay tuned for the weird side that hasn't had a real venue yet. I am really looking forward to exploring that side of my artistic self.
