Description I drew this picture of a little girl who reminded me so much of a child I love. Although imperfect, I think that I captured her wistful, sweet expression. It had been re-framed from the original frame but in my opinion, it is not a real distraction as her eyes draw you in with their poignancy.
Christine Talley, Seaside Heights, NJ Member Since March 2007 Artist Statement I was a registered nurse for almost 25 years. Now I'm disabled due to depression but I am looking at my disability as God's way of opening a door for me to use the creative talents that He gave me. I don't mention this to get a "pity party" but to encourage others in similar situations. I was a member of Achievement Through The Arts (ATTA, in Dallas, TX) until I moved to NJ. We are a group of artists living with mental illness and working to educate, motivate, & empower themselves and others. We would like to see the stigma of mental illness disappear, or at least diminish. =D
