Artist Statement I am a self taught artist. I was a former flower shop owner and starting selling my work in my shop. Other florist were seeing and hearing about my pieces and they started contacting me asking where I purchased them...well, I told them they were my own pieces, then they asked if they could buy them and it went from there. I sold my shop to be a full time artist/poet and I am loving every minute of it! My biggest request at the shop was sympathy poetry and that is still the majority of my work. I saw first hand how my pieces related with customers as they stood and tears ran down their cheeks while they silently read my poetry. I stood and cried with them. That has given me such a warm feeling knowing I am helping heal a broken heart and that to me is worth it all.
