'A Little Splash of Color'
The title of this piece is a bit of an understatement ;-)
It's more like a riot of color splashing across the surface! The use of blue, gold, tan, brown, maroon and other colors make for a brilliant, swirling splashing display!
This piece is more like a standard abstract than much of my other work. It has a painterly brushstoke appearance, as if gobs of paint were swirled onto a canvas. It also has a bit of a 3D effect to it, and an illustrative look.
The style is similar to Sumi-e, but this is obviously not a monochrome piece of art, and is far more vibrant than a typical Japanese painting. There is however, black edging and strokes throughout the artwork, as if laid down by an ink brush.
