Description I took this photograph on Sunday 5-2-2010, at 1746 hours, on HWY 260, just East of Camp Verde, on Fossil Creek Road, which is also about 1 mile East of East Canyon Drive and RT 260 (Marker # 503 which U can see in the photo). I used a Nikon D-700 D-SLR 12 Mp, with a 24-120mm Nikon Lens at F11, 1/125th sec, ISO 200, Vibration Reduction (On), at 4850 Degrees Kelvin. I adjusted some levels, Curves, and Saturation. I took an additional photo (#6215 at 1752 hours) with the same setting except for the shutter speed at 1/400th sec, masked the sky from this shot, and placed it on top of photo # 6212. Saved in layers.
Ed Bonkowski, Mesa Member Since September 2008 Artist Statement The duality of my life is intimately expressed through my photography. As a nineteen year veteran in the State of Arizona, I create a balance through constant and vigilant service to the community with my photography. Seeing the world through my lens, creates a captivating display of natures most treasured gifts and the choices we all can make to view our lives and it’s surroundings in this beautiful, original way. My spiritual conviction is nurtured by recognizing, “life is but a fleeting moment and when I am able to capture just a little bit with my mind's eye through the lens of my camera; share it’s striking beauty with the world, I am truly doing my job as a human being.”
