Description This silly painting features the artist's wife, Liz, and cat, Tony, who interprets grooming as abuse. The original piece measures 84' x 46' and was created in 2008 on cut-shape masonite.
Leonard Breger, San Francisco Member Since February 2011 Artist Statement Born in 1920 in Brooklyn N.Y. He received his BSS degree from City College of New York in 1941 and his MFA degree from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California, in 1963. He has lived and taught in the San Francisco Bay Area since the 50's. During that time he has exhibited in many galleries and museums, including major one-person exhibitions at the De Young Museum and the Palace of the Legion of Honour. His most recent one-man show was in July, 2009 at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art.
