Description This photo was taken on Alki Beach in West Seattle in late Summer. I don't know what conditions are necessary for sunbeams to streak the sky but the conditions were perfect on this day. Photography to me is composed of patience, a basic skill level, an eye for composition and luck - all four came into play at this very moment when the seagull came into view at the very last second of the sunset. I took several pictures this evening as the sunset evolved with each passing minute, yet this stood out among all the others.
