Description Asundog is the reflection of the sun on ice crystals in the air. We see them when it is really cold. This photo was taken in January at about -25 Fahrenheit. Fairbanks, Alaska, January 2014.
Stephanie Brower, Fairbanks Member Since July 2013 Artist Statement Hello, I live in Fairbanks, Alaska. Most of my photographs will be taken in and around Fairbanks. Fairbanks has wonderfully warm summers (temperatures can be in the 90's) and horribly cold winters (often 30 degrees below zero Fahrenheit). I find great pleasure in capturing simple but beautiful images around me. I hope you will enjoy what you see, if you do leave me a comment! Thank you.
