INTERACTIVE FANTASY ART FOR CHILDREN: I ask children, "What do you want to be? You can ride a winged wolf, Pegasus or tiger, become your favorite myth or fairy tale character or anything else you choose." Then we sit down and create the portrait together after I scan in their photo and we look through my large collection of photographs of animals, flowers, heroes, angels, aliens and mythical creatures. These portraits are visual affirmations of a child's imagination and empowerment. One ten year old boy wrote: "The way I feel about this picture is that this is the point in my life when I spread my wings. This was when I ready to fly and transform into a new being." The final artwork can be printed on quality paper, canvas, fabric or even tile.
