Description Sometimes I paint from a place of whimsy (and even silliness), and sometimes I feel spiritually motivated. This painting was spiritually motivated. I call it my Buddha, but I could also have called it The Divine Feminine, God, Gaia, Self-Portrait, or even the Universe. Its all the same.
Asha Hawkesworth, Gresham Member Since August 2016 Artist Statement I love to paint and write. I am the author of several children's books, including "Grandma's Roses" and "Don't Bother Boris!" My art is inspired by the natural world, the realm of spirit, and my own children, who have collaborated with me on occasion. I currently reside in Oregon with my family and quite a few cats. In addition to painting, I love to work in my garden, bake, and enjoy the comforts of home.
